ISTANBUL it is without a doubt, one of the two jewels of Turkey. the smell of spices, the streets full of people drinking tea, the colorful shops and the hustle and bustle of everyday life immerse you in the more traditional aspects of the culture, That is why it is worth dedicating the time necessary to get to know a good part of that cultural wealth..

Known as the city of a thousand mosques, of the thousand and one nights, of the seven hills and bridge between Asia and Europe, Istanbul is a perfect blend of the best of Eastern and Western cultures.
Feel the call to prayer in the mosques, haggle in the bazaars, enter grandiose palaces, have a coffee on Pierre Loti Hill, Lose yourself in the Asian neighborhood of Üsküdar or cross the Bosphorus, are some of the many things we are going to do in Istanbul.

CAPADOCIA, located one hour by plane from Istanbul, This World Heritage Site will make you fall in love at first sight with its landscapes of fairy chimneys and other original rock formations that place it as one of the places that must be visited., at least, Once in life. You cannot say that you have visited Turkey if you have not visited its two great jewels, And we are going to do it like that!

As always, in a small group of maximum 12 women, with transportation and private guide the entire trip, 4 nights in Istanbul and 3 nights in Cappadocia, because Istanbul offers a lot of itself and it is worth having enough time to explore both the European and Asian parts, the most well-known places and the not so well-known but very special ones. We will enjoy its culture but also its gastronomy, since we have chosen good local restaurants far from the typical tourist restaurants for lunches, dinners in hotels with good cuisine (No buffet) And special dinner the first night in a restaurant with a view. And all meals are included!! (Except for lunch on the day we go from Istanbul to Cappadocia)

DAY 1 :

At the agreed time we will meet at Barcelona airport to catch our flight to Istanbul. on this occasion, Alba will be your companion at all times so that everything goes well and you don't have to worry about anything.

When we arrive at Istanbul airport, your private vehicle will be waiting for you to take you to the hotel, located in the center, in the well-known neighborhood of Sultanahmet. You will check in and we will go out to taste a delicious welcome dinner, in a restaurant with a view. Night in Istanbul.

DAY 2- Breakfast at the hotel.

at the agreed time, The guide will pick you up at the hotel to take a tour of Istanbul, where will you visit the Topkapi Imperial Palace, official residence of the Ottoman Sultans, from where they ruled their great Empire for more than 400 years. A visit to the Treasury rooms is included, where you can admire true gems of Turkish Heritage, including some of the largest diamonds in the world and the famous dagger of “TOPKAPI".

At the end of the Palace, you will visit the Cistern Basilica.

Afterwards visit to Hagia Sophia, ancient orthodox basilica, later converted into a mosque, then in a museum and from 1 of August of 2020, again in a mosque. Then, the Blue Mosque or Sultan Ahmed Mosque, It is one of the great mosques in Istanbul where you can admire the Iznik mosaics, famous for their intense blue.

we will finish the afternoon, with the roman hippodrome and the world famousgrand bazaar! a shopping paradise with more than 4000 stores. Dinner and accommodation at our hotel (When we had dinner at the hotel, It is not buffet style and they have good cuisine).

DAY 3 : Breakfast at the hotel and today we will start the day in a place that I love, he Spice Bazaar, the oldest in the city and also called the Egyptian Bazaar, where the spices brought from Egypt were sold. Then you will visit the Mezquita de Rustam Pasha considered one of the most distinguished in all of Istanbul and located in the central neighborhood of Eminönü, to the right of the Egyptian market. Visit finished, you will pass through Bosphorus cruise, Strait separating the continents of Europe and Asia, where you will enjoy magnificent views.

Upon arrival in the Asian part of Istanbul, We will eat tasting typical salty and sweet dishes in the restaurants and bars in the area.

You will visit Kadikoy: The trendy neighborhood that few tourists know In Estambul. This neighborhood brings together a wide range of markets, mezze bars, restaurants specializing in fish and shellfish, fashion cafes and boutiques, presenting a lively atmosphere both day and night.

Walking through Kadiköy, It is impossible not to notice the numerous murals that cover the walls of this district where street art mixes with traditional architecture. The colors and the message that the works transmit do not go unnoticed. In 2012, the city created an urban art festival in collaboration with a popular turkish artist, turning this neighborhood of Istanbul into a veritable open-air museum.

Visits finished, You will go back to your hotel and free time. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

DAY 4- Today you will take another tour to learn more about the city and discover the less touristy and more authentic areas. You will start the day with the building that dominates the horizon of the Golden Horn, Suleyman Mosque, reflection of Ottoman architecture at its maximum splendor. Next, you will visit Chora Church, from the Byzantine era, Today a museum and formerly converted into a Mosque. You will see the most beautiful Byzantine mosaics and frescoes that exist today in the world..

You will also enjoy a coffee at the top of Pierre Loti Hill in the Eyup neighborhood, where the best views of the entire city are found.

And as, you will visit the most hipster neighborhoods of the Golden Horn, Skin with its streets, colorful houses and staircases and Fener with a lot of history and that is currently growing as a place for bars, cafes and full of tourists.

Without doubt, They are the areas richest in history, most interesting and features in all of Istanbul. For these reasons they have been included in the UNESCO heritage list.. But, despite this, They are only visited by 5% of tourists arriving in Istanbul. We like to know the places where everyone goes but also to know the most authentic areas.

We are talking about three really important neighborhoods to fully understand the history and culture of this city., areas in which, over time, populations and religions have mixed, generating an extraordinary architectural wealth, religious monuments, colors and gastronomic delights, that has miraculously survived to this day. Los 3 Neighborhoods are located within the historic city walls, Eminonu at al oeste, and on the shore of the Golden Horn.

Skin is he jewish quarter historic. The change in the social composition has led Balat to a situation of sharp decline, which has only recently been brought to a halt thanks to an ambitious Unesco-sponsored redevelopment project.

The subtle border between splendor and decadence generates a dazzling contrast in Balat. The neighborhood, where you can visit 3 synagogues, It is a true gem. Above the neighborhood there is a small park, where you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Golden Horn.

The neighborhood of Torch, the historical greek neighborhood, the streets start to get narrow, steep and labyrinthine, and the risk of getting lost increases. It's here, between these centuries-old stone streets, between colorful Ottoman houses, some incredibly restored, others in ruins, where the history of Istanbul is truly breathed.

Walking among colored houses and with the strangest shapes, among children playing ball in the street, it is possible to reach Rum Lisesi, he Greek Orthodox High School, an incredible red brick building that dominates the Fener hill. Climbing a picturesque staircase, the summit of the hill is reached, where the walls of the ancient city once stood: here emerges an unknown church, but of fundamental importance in the history of the city. It is the magnificent Church of Saint Mary of the Mongols, also known as the Red Church. His story is so beautiful and interesting that it deserves a book, but unfortunately there is no post.

You will eat in a non-touristy restaurant and then you will cross to the other side of the Golden Horn to walk through the streets of the Pera neighborhood, center of culture of the city and you will finish in the Galata Tower . Return to the hotel and free time until dinner that will be in the same hotel..

DAY 5 : Today you will have the free morning to go at your leisure and discover the city at your own pace, make the last purchases, take a good memory: like the delicious baklava (pistachio stuffed puff pastries), the "lokum" (Also called "Turkish delight"), buy spices at the Egyptian Market, or simply walk the streets surrounding your accommodation because you will surely see something that you have not noticed until now. Istanbul always surprises!!! I advise you to get up early so you can take advantage of the morning before the sun sets..
